# Nodes Overview

> Nodes are the building blocks of an Evallo form, survey or quiz.You can chain any nodes together to create complex conversation flows. 
When you drag and drop a node in the canvas, by default it will be inserted into a group that can have a title. Nodes are always contained in groups.  
There are multiple node categories to make it easier to find the right block for your needs: ​
